Spring at the Silos- A Trip to Waco

I had the chance to head back to Waco, TX for the second time to visit the Silos. As a big 'ole fan of HGTV's Fixer Upper and stars Chip & Joanna Gaines, I can honestly say that this place is like Disney World for adults. Everything that HGTV's favorite duo has done with this location in Waco is honestly so inspiring to me as a creative entrepreneur. The ever-evolving grounds at the Silos now include a bakery, garden, seed + supply shop, lawn games, food trucks and the enormous market. The area was flooded with shoppers all weekend who took advantage of exploring tons of other local shops and restaurants in what is now truly a destination.

All of this can only be made better by bringing in an insanely impressive group of 100+ makers from around the country to take over the streets surrounding the grounds and sell their wares. Artisans selling paper goods, home goods, jewelry, apparel and more lined the streets for three days of serious shopping and I can't say I came out of it without any damage to my wallet.

In addition to exploring everything the Silos have to offer, my sister and I visited numerous antique shops including Junky Monkey, Spice Village, LaSalle Shops, and Shades of Shabby. We also stopped by Harp Design Co., and got to take in some awesome live music from Blue Water Highway Band at Common Grounds

Scroll through to take a look at some quick snaps from the trip.
