Lee & Tory

This past weekend, Chris & I ventured to Silverton for the wedding of two lovely friends from college. We were so honored to be included in their big day and I was thrilled to shoot a wedding in such an incredible place.

The Setting: Eureka Lodge, Silverton, CO

Nestled in the mountains on the Alpine Loop, Eureka Lodge is an old miners hotel full of history. The venue offers the perfect outdoor ceremony site as well as an outdoor bridal readying area, 17 bedrooms, and a number of rooms for groups to gather. Needless to say, this setting provides an endless supply of stunning photo opportunities.

From driving across the Million Dollar Highway and Engineer Pass to 3,000 sheep being moved to summer pasture alongside the venue on the morning of the wedding, this was a weekend full of adventure.

The Style: Casual Bohemian

Effortless greenery, vibe-y rugs covering the ground, hand-dyed table runners by the bride, and an all around mystic feel.

The Couple: Lee & Tory

I've known both Lee & Tory since early in my college career. Both were art majors and they actually met in an art critique. The two moved to Colorado from Pennsylvania a few years ago and the lifestyle 100% suits them.

The Party: Outdoor Tent & Dance Floor

With a family style dinner full of fresh vegetables and unique flavor, a build-your-own-doughnut bar, and a classic rock playlist, this was a reception meant to bring everyone together.
