NEW to the Blog! "FIVE THINGS"
As a new approach to some behind-the-scenes glances, I've got something fun coming! Once a month I'll be posting "Five Things", a new section where I share five things that I'm really loving/super inspired by at the moment. Hopefully you can discover some new things that you'll love, too!
mindfulness- I've meditated on my Headspace app for 50 days straight. If you aren't familiar with Headspace, it's an app that offers guided meditations to help you improve your overall health and increase daily mindful moments. I've found that the app has made me revisit a more committed practice of meditation. Seriously, give it a try! Why not, right?
music- Bahamas on repeat. It may not be brand new music but I often revisit great albums again and again. The sound is calm and cool and causes a slight addiction.
podcasts- I listen to back-to-back podcasts while I'm in the studio. My all time favorite is How I Built This from NPR and I'm realizing how much I'm obsessed with just about any and all NPR pods. A current fav is TED Radio Hour, also from NPR. OK. I'm clearly in love with Guy Raz.
reading- End-of-day goal: plop down in the sun room with wine and a good book. The Hopefuls by Jennifer Close is described by The Washington Post as "a hilarious gripefest about what it feels like to be caught in the gravitational pull of Washington." Accurate. There was a chapter early on that solidified the idea that I had magically stumbled upon my new favorite author.
binge worthy- For the creative types out there with Amazone Prime, I Love Dick might be just what you need out of life right now. It's hilarious. It's awkward. It's wildly creative. It's raw, real-life like they don't show in the movies. *MATURE*
