Check out Stitch & Shutter Goods in Motherhouse!
Built by Paul Andersen of Denver’s Independent Architecture and staged by Bret Sundberg with Guest House, Motherhouse is a modern minimalist’s dream. The front exterior features four gables, four large windows at the second story, and four sets of glass doors on the first story. The siding is angled to follow the pitch of the roof. The first story alone has 56 doors, both exterior and storage.
You enter to a clean, white kitchen with storage doors to hide any unsightly pantry items or appliances, a cozy living room space just off the kitchen, a small bathroom under the stunning staircase, a long dining area, and plenty of nooks for storage, workspaces, or other semi-secret spaces. Oh, and glass doors aplenty leading to the surprisingly large backyard space.
The second story consists of four bedrooms—each with differing vaulted ceilings due to the placement of the gables—additional bathrooms and storage space, and a small space inside of the closet that sits above the staircase that will no doubt become a child’s favorite place in the house.
Check out a few images below featuring items from Stitch & Shutter including the Wall Envelope in black/brass, Wall Straps in black/brass, the Tote Bag in black, and the Woven Leather Basket.
