art for your heart- A lovely friend of mine and fierce mama, Kaitlyn Tucek, has a stunning and incredibly moving show at ATC | DEN Gallery and I can not recommend it enough. The show, It's All Coming Apart is open until March 31 and is a colorful and abstract representation of her experiences and struggles as a woman and mother. cook up some yummy- I love to bake. And I love to eat. I love to eat what I bake. But lately with all the silly things I had to cut out of my diet, the whole baking thing has become much more difficult. So when I found this flourless, 5-ingredient Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe fromBakerita I just about died. Seriously, these things are so good and SO easy. It's a little mind-blowing.
"feel naked, but better"- Ok, this one is purely for the ladies. I am OBSESSED. OBSESSED I tell you, with True & Co. bras and underwear- specifically their True Body Collection. The simple, seamless scoop necks and v-necks as well as their hipster undies are the most comfortable things I have ever worn. Honestly, I've gotten rid of all the other bras I owned and have totally switched.
purchases that can empower- Jenny Nuccio began Imani Collective with a vision to create meaningful opportunities and employment for women in Kenya. The project turned into a lovely collection of goods and so much more. I.C. now "employs over fifty Kenyan men & women in Mtepeni Village + Mombasa, and half a dozen women stateside." You can shop online (the stuffed cactus is a fav.) and also donate toward food, training, and education.
humming a new tune- Haunting glam mixed with layers upon layers of sexy, the new track "Let Me Down" by Jorja Smith feat. Stormzy is the play on repeat tune for February. Don't be surprised if you wind up hearing this one in the next Bond film, it's definitely got that vibe and Smith even pictures it being featured in a grungy, underground bar scene with a Bond girl that has just crossed the famous Secret Agent.
